1. Seek Knowledge with Sincerity (Ikhlas)
Allah says:
“And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion…”
(Surah Al-Bayyinah 98:5)
Remind the sisters to attend and learn purely for the sake of Allah, not to show off or argue, but to grow closer to Him. When our intention is sincere, even small efforts become blessed.
2. Importance of Learning and Teaching the Qur’an
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari)
Tell the sisters they are engaging in the best kind of knowledge. Just showing up with a heart eager to understand the Qur’an brings barakah into their lives.
3. Be Patient and Consistent
Allah says:
“O you who have believed, persevere and endure and remain stationed and fear Allah that you may be successful.”
(Surah Aal-Imran 3:200)
Tafseer requires patience. It’s a journey — sometimes deep, sometimes emotional — but always rewarding. Encourage them to stick with it, even when it’s challenging.
4. Acting on the Knowledge
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The Qur’an is a proof for you or against you.”
(Sahih Muslim)
Understanding Qur’an comes with responsibility. It’s not just for knowledge, but for transformation. Remind them to live by what they learn.
5. A Special Reward for Sisters Who Learn and Gather for Allah
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whenever some people gather in one of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it among themselves, tranquility descends upon them, mercy covers them, angels surround them, and Allah makes mention of them to those who are with Him.”
(Sahih Muslim)
Even if your class isn’t in a masjid, the same blessings apply when sisters gather with sincerity to learn the Qur’an.
