Mission Statement

At the Regent Park Islamic Resource Centre (RPIRC), we are dedicated to fostering diversity through unity and embracing inclusion. Established to serve as more than a mosque, RPIRC is a vibrant community center committed to preserving Islamic identity, empowering future generations, and promoting a comprehensive Islamic way of life grounded in the Quran and Sunnah.

We strive to build a thriving, inclusive Muslim community by supporting spiritual, educational, and social growth while fostering peace, mutual respect, and interfaith collaboration. Through charitable initiatives, combating Islamophobia, and advocating for justice and equality, RPIRC seeks to inspire positive change and serve as a beacon of hope, understanding, and service for all.

Our mission is to:

  1. Preserve and Strengthen Islamic Identity
    • Foster a strong sense of Islamic identity through education, spiritual development, and community engagement rooted in the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
  2. Build and Support a Thriving Muslim Community
    • Create an inclusive, welcoming environment where Muslims of all backgrounds can connect, collaborate, and grow together.
    • Provide resources and programs to support the spiritual, educational, and social needs of the community.
  3. Promote a Comprehensive Islamic Way of Life
    • Inspire individuals to live according to Islamic principles, emphasizing compassion, justice, and service to humanity.
    • Advocate for ethical and moral values in personal, family, and societal life.
  4. Engage in Interfaith and Community Outreach
    • Build bridges of understanding and collaboration with people of other faiths and communities to promote peace, mutual respect, and social harmony.
    • Organize interfaith dialogues, cultural exchange events, and collaborative service projects.
  5. Empower Future Generations
    • Offer programs and initiatives that educate and empower youth to become confident leaders and active contributors to society.
    • Provide mentorship, career guidance, and platforms for young Muslims to express and share their talents and ideas.
  6. Serve the Broader Community
    • Actively contribute to the well-being of society through charitable initiatives, social services, and humanitarian efforts.
    • Support those in need regardless of faith or background, exemplifying the Islamic values of generosity and kindness.
  7. Dismantle and Speak Out Against Islamophobia
    • Actively challenge Islamophobia and work to dismantle stereotypes, discrimination, and prejudice against Muslims.
    • Advocate for social justice and equality by raising awareness, educating the public, and collaborating with organizations to combat hate and bigotry.
    • Provide support for individuals and communities impacted by Islamophobia and promote a positive understanding of Islam.
  8. Foster Personal Growth and Spiritual Development
    • Offer opportunities for learning, worship, and reflection that enable individuals to deepen their faith and strengthen their relationship with Allah (SWT).

By fulfilling this mission, the RPIRC aims to be a source of inspiration and empowerment, helping individuals and the community at large to thrive spiritually, intellectually, and socially while contributing positively to the world around us.
